Nathan Gale's keenly anticipated review of recent digital typeface design, Type 1, is published by Laurence King this month. Gale features 178 fonts grouped into style categories and there is an accompanying CD featuring 8 free fonts including 'Aminta' from Alias (Gareth Hague's wonderful re-take on Courier) and Julian Morey's 'Basic-21' (Club 21) which pays homage to the 8-bit world of the 1980s home computer.
